KATHIE CARNAHAN, Founding Partner, Certified Educational Planner (C.E.P.)

For over twenty-five years, Kathie has developed a well-established reputation of supporting students through the admission and placement process. Due to her extensive experience, depth of knowledge, and consistent success, Kathie has guided hundreds of students to enroll in their “best fit” schools.

Her specialties include college bound students, as well as boarding school, transfer and graduate school applicants.  Kathie serves the educational needs of students all over the country and also internationally. She has shared her knowledge and experience through presentations at regional and national conferences and Kathie has written articles for national print and online publications regarding admissions-related topics.

Kathie earned the prestigious designation of Certified Educational Consultant (C.E.P.) and is part of a distinguished global group of educational consultants who qualify for this professional honor. Presently, Kathie is the only college-focused C.E.P. in the New Orleans metropolitan area and was selected as a Commissioner of the American Institute of Certified Educational Planners. She also earned her College Counseling Certificate with distinction from University of California – Los Angeles.

She is a professional member of: American Institute of Certified Educational Planners (AICEP), Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA), National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC), Southern Association for College Admission Counseling (SACAC), and Small Boarding School Association (SBSA). Kathie has served on the Counselor Advisory Boards of Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas and College of Charleston in Charleston, South Carolina.

Kathie enjoys all international travel, walking 5-6 miles each day, listening to Mozart, and she is an avid history buff. Kathie is currently preparing to hike a route of the Camino de Santiago trail in Spain.
