“Fit to Major” Explained

All of your experiences throughout your high school career, from freshman - senior year, accumulate into a profile of who you are as a student. And colleges will be trying to assess this profile though the snapshot of your admissions application.

Within that snapshot, they’re going to be looking for clues indicating your background or experiences have provided building blocks that lead towards your intended major. This is where your activities come in. Aside from your progress in the classroom, colleges will want to see these building blocks also demonstrated in your Activities List.

Have you set up recurring appointments with us yet?

Our calendars get booked up fairly quickly, and so we suggest to schedule not just one, but multiple appointments. For example, as a Junior, we recommend booking 2 appointments per week for the following 3 weeks.

If we decide down the line that one or more of those appointments are not needed, we can always cancel them at a later time. It’s best to at least have the options set on the calendar just in case… Especially during the Summer/Fall crunch time!
